Media Bias on E-Levy

By Richard Agodzo   Parliament on March 29, 2022 passed the Electronic Transfer Levy known as the E-Levy in the absence of the Minority MPs who walked out before the Bill was considered at the second reading stage. As the news of the acceptance of the E-Levy Bill by Parliament, several news portals took to break the news to the general public. Media representatives at Parliament had the substantial information as to what happened on the floor of parliament on the said day. Here Come The Rains: is Ablekuma North ready?

 OPINION By Richard Agodzo   It has been four months since the last heavy rains in the capital city. Drains are filled with rubbish, gutters are choked and potholes have not being repaired. We are in the rainy season and Accra is yet to experience a heavy downpour. Climate change may have caused some confusion in our rain patterns, but it’s common knowledge that the wet, rainy season follows the dry harmattan season. The land breeze experienced over the past fortnight is signaling that the rains are gradually approaching the capital city. The question to ask is: are we ready to receive this year’s rains? The Obetsebi Lamptey interchange is still under construction. On October 2, 2021, Kaneshie market got flooded, causing heavy traffic congestion on all link roads.
