BECE Candidate rushed from exams hall to hospital to deliver

A 17-year-old Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate, who was rushed to the labour ward moments after she entered the examination hall last Tuesday has given birth to a baby girl. She was said to have begun contractions at the examination centre on Tuesday morning (October 18, 2022), a few moments after arriving for the Mathematics paper. She was rushed to the Kechiebi Community-Based Health Planning System (CHPS) Compound, where she managed to complete the paper under supervision by midwives. The Twist of Bribery & Corruption as NSS registration begun

By An NSS Applicant Persons claiming to be officials from National Service Secretariat (NSS) are requesting for amounts of monies for special posting after it opened it portal for eligible graduates and final year students in tertiary institutions to register on Monday, July 25, 2022. In the press release on NSS website, there was no session of it that was made to the general public of special posting.  Graduate and final year students have received messages and phone calls asking for their interest in what they call special posting by persons who claim to be officials from the scheme. According to students, they faced challenges trying to access their PIN Codes with their index numbers and date of birth. In their failure to assess their PIN Codes, these officials are charging GH¢14.00 to rectify the mistake made on their date of birth. “I was charged GH¢ 14.00 when I could not assess my NSS PIN Code on the portal”, said an applicant. Reestablish our community Library - Students call on Philanthropists

By Richard Agodzo The abandoned Ngleshie Amanfro Community Library Students and teachers in Ngleshie Amanfro has called on philanthropists, cooperate orgainastions and individuals to come to their aid to renovate and expand the only community library in the municipal assembly.  The library, located in the centre of the community has been left abandoned for over six years. According to students in the community, they have never had the opportunity to visit the library but hence have library periods in their timetables. "I got enrolled into Ngleshie Amanfro primary school in 2016, I'm in junior high school now and I don't know how the inside of the only library in the community looks like", said a student. Although the community library served all students both public and private school students years ago, many benefited from private studies and research.
